Community Projects

Bonne Famille has joined itself with local players to develop communities in Montreal. Among those, non-profit organizations, foundations, festivals and urban areas participate in our mission: To develop neighbourhoods of Montreal across various participative and community based projects. Bonne Famille also aspires to help the development of art by giving an accessible platform for local artists. In 2019, more than 40 artists were able to participate in our community projects.

 Fresh off the grill

Our first community project is the Fresh off the grill; a BBQ event where the objective is to allow citizens to appreciate a picnic between friends and family with good music, while enjoying the outdoors. By introducing a self-serve procedure to this event, we invite participants to bring their own food and prepare it themselves. We provide barbecues, tables, inflatable games and other activities that are available for all our participants. Our volunteers take care of food, safety and security around the barbecues.

For each edition, we offer the opportunity to many local DJs to perform during the event. In all, we wish to create an accessible, festive and pleasant atmosphere to all the members of the neighborhood.

Showcase Bonne Famille

Bonne Famille Showcase is a project that emerged directly from the recent pandemic. A brand new concept that focuses on performers rather than the DJs. The 'showcase' formula has allowed Bonne Famille to continue to do events across cultural spaces while respecting recent distancing measures. Last summer we were able to collaborate with the Village au Pied-Du-Courant to produce the first edition of the Bonne Famille Showcase. For now, the latest news allows us to organize our next edition this summer. Stay tuned!

 Bazar bonne famille

Bonne Famille Bazar is our latest project. It consists of organizing a huge garage sale where participants aged between 18 to 30 can rent tables to sell their goods or can shop around to buy a variety of items. The concept is straightforward, but Bonne Famille wants to put its own unique spin on it by setting up food trucks, organizing participatory activities, and producing an attractive local music program. Bonne Famille's formula stands out because it encourages its target audience to get involved and tap into their entrepreneurial side by selling their goods.
